With the holidays upon us, flanked by family near and far, now’s a great time to knock back some PBR! Here’s a re-posting of an all-time favorite…
Today’s handy tool is the Personal Bill of Rights (PBR). Sometimes we forget — or don’t realize — our own PBR. As children, some of us weren’t even taught what it means to own yourself.
This is especially true, if a child grows up in a home where substance abuse or alcoholism is the norm. It’s never too late to learn your PBR’s.
What’ll you have? 3 quick sips of PBR:
● I have the right to be healthier than those around me.
● I have the right to have my needs and wants respected by others.
● I have the right to say no to anything when I feel I am not ready, it is unsafe, or it violates my values.
